I love painting blood. It’s hard and it takes great patience. Layer upon layer of paint. This was created in two weeks using both Adobe Photoshop & Corel Painter using my Wacom Cintiq and a lot of great photo reference of both water and blood. The colour of the blood isn’t exactly red. The more orange tones really help add to the viscosity and realism of the piece. I also always enjoy adding jewellery to my portraits. Especially intricate detailed and different pieces that look unique. It took a while to illustrate this artwork but I feel it was worth it and the client loved it. I hope you like it.
